Andrew Wells
Martial Arts Specialist | Taekwondo, Hapkido & Judo.
With over 20 years in Martial Arts, my journey began at age 13 when I first stepped onto a Taekwondo mat. Under the guidance of Grandmaster Whan Ki Choi at Universal Martial Arts, I earned my Black Belts in Taekwondo and Hapkido—and I haven’t stopped learning since.
Over the years, my path led me to teach at the Monty Ballard and Mark A. Chapman YMCAs, where I spent five years sharing my passion with the local community. I believe that an active body leads to an active mind, which is why I continue to challenge myself by competing in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, and cross-training in Kickboxing and Boxing.
I joined GenR³ because I believe Martial Arts should be accessible and impactful for everyone. In our semi-private programs in Katy and Houston, I personally ensure that no one gets lost in a large crowd. With our semi-private approach, I can give each family—and children with special needs—the full attention and personalized instruction they deserve. Whether we are working on technical form or building confidence, my goal is to meet them exactly where they are and help them move forward safely.
My certifications include: 5th Dan Black Belt Taekwondo, Black Belt Hapkido, Orange Belt Judo & AED/First Aid ASHI training
